just a few thoughts
I am flawed, but I aim for authenticity.
I can be cynical, but I am also hopeful.
I can be shy, but I can also talk your ear off if I'm excited about something.
It can take me awhile to warm up to people, but once I do, you're in my life as long as you want to be.
I'm a city girl, who loves the lights and glitz of Hollywood and New York City, black and white photos, the occasional dressing up, drinking espresso, overlooking the skyscrapers and the traffic on the streets, and writing poetry.
But, I also love going out on old dirt roads, being out in the middle of nowhere, country music on the radio, sundresses and cowboy boots, and the sweetest sweet tea you can find.
I could spend hours just wandering the aisles of an antique shop, shifting through old records, books and magazines, wondering who they belonged to, the memories that were attached with them and why they ended up there in the first place.
I'm addicted to caffeine. I find it comforting, like the sun that rises in the morning.
I'm fascinated by the intricacies of life - the in between spaces, the moments of pause, the stillness. What happens when the curtain closes or the screen fades to black.
I always thought I was more of a mountain girl, but the beach has become my escape lately. From the Central Coast to Malibu, I've found peace in the roar of the waves, the sand between my toes, the sun on my skin and feeling my worries free from my mind.
I love breakfast dates with friends. There's something special about sharing dreams over coffee and waffles (or pancakes).
Going for a drive is one of my favorite things, especially as the sun is setting. There's something about it that just feels like God's nightly reminder that everything is going to be okay.
I'm not a huge fan of most board games, but I am a sucker for trivia. I will play Trivial Pursuit any time.
And I love Saturday mornings that don't feel rushed. Where I can take my time to become fully present for the day.
